I know not all of us are good with these innovative gadgets nowadays. Through time, our generation keeps on advancing. We have improved our communication devices now; of course, a connection is without a doubt included in our advancing society.
Ever purchased something, and you don’t know where to start with it? I’ve been there, and I know how stressful that is. Did your Arris Router arrive today? Are you having trouble with the Arris Router Login? I’m more than willing to help you with your problem. Let’s get started!
Arris Router Login Instructions
You can’t change your router’s settings if you’re still not logged into its user interface. Follow these steps to learn how:
#1: Make sure to be connected to the Arris network.
#2: Open a web browser and type in your IP address.
#3: Enter the default login information.
After finishing those three steps, you can rest assured that you’ve successfully done the Arris Router Login steps.
Arris Router Default IP
All routers would need a default IP address. What is an IP address, you may ask? Well, it is the one who takes responsibility for sending and receiving data once it connects to an internet connection. They are more likely known as the “assigned numbers” for websites.
Arris routers have different models, so possibly, other router’s IP address will differ. Most likely, it could either be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.254. Your IP address can vary depending on the site you’d be redirected to.
Arris Router Default Username and Password
You’ll be needing login credentials for you to access your router’s settings. Since it’s your first time buying, you don’t need to sign up in a registration form. Rather, Arris routers have already provided us a default account by simply using their given username and password.
They use the default username of admin and default password of password. Once you’ve input those credentials, you are finally registered and can now change your router based on your desired setup. You can even change your username and password for a more secure router.
Manually Configuring your Arris Router for Internet Access
Before you start, you’ll need to make sure you’ve already plugged the coaxial cable in the “Cable In” port of your Arris router. You can find those ports at the back of the router. Next would be plugging in your Ethernet cable into the “Out” port and then connecting the other end of the cable to your computer that you’d want to connect to the internet via those Ethernet cables.
If you are using a wireless signal (Wi-Fi), then you just have to follow the same steps – connecting an Ethernet cable to your router. You’ll have to wait for your router to boot in about 5 or 30 minutes. And once it’s good to go, a green light would appear in your modem and would stay lit until you turn it off.
That was only the first step in configuring your router. I’m pretty sure most guides also follow these kinds of steps. You could check the Windstream Router Login page if you want to know more about them.
Our next step would be setting up your network. Launch your web browser and enter your router’s IP address as this will redirect you to a site and would need your login credentials. Once you’ve done that, you can view your network settings by clicking the “Basic Setup” located at the top side of your screen.
With that, you’ll be able to modify your modem. You can change its name, set up a password, and even enable wireless connectivity (only if it’s available with your Arris modem).
To enable the Wi-Fi, you’ll need to set WPA2-PSK or WEP or WPA2/WPA as its security mode. You’ll also need to name your wireless network (SSID). Think of a password and name for your Wi-Fi network so that only a few people can access the network. This would make your connection more secure and private. Click “Apply” to modify those changes.
Resetting your Arris Router
If there comes a time that you’d like to go back with your router’s default settings, the easiest option would be resetting your router. Don’t trouble yourself with changing them back manually; you can follow these simple steps:
What you’ll be doing is called the “30-30-30 reset process”. Let me explain this to you.
- Make sure your Arris router is powered on. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
- While still doing the first step, unplug your router and hold the reset button again for another 30 seconds.
- Lastly, while holding down the reset button, plug your power again and hold the reset button for another 30 seconds.
There you have it! After doing those three steps, your router should now be back with its default settings. If you changed its login info before, you might need to start again. When you reset your router, every altered change will be erased, leaving no data behind.

What does a blinking light on my Arris modem mean?
If there is a blinking light on your modem, then it would mean that your modem is having difficulties in connecting with your internet. Take a look at your cables and secure them tightly.
