A password is a watchword that does let an interloper assess your identity. That’s why your debit card and computer accounts require a password from you. It is like a hurdle that creates a protective shield to save you from any subsequent scam and financial fraud.

A strong and secure password is one that is easy to remember and hard to crack. It is always suggested to choose a strong password. Read on to find out how to go about it.

How to Craft a Secure Password:

  • Always go for a password that is hard to hack:

A password is established in order to create protection, so it is supposed to be difficult and complex. A password based on only numbers or words like your nickname or a cell number can easily be hacked by anyone. Selection of default passwords is not a good idea either as they are easy to crack.

  • Do not unleash your password before anyone:

Sharing your password with family, friends, colleagues or with any of your acquaintances is strongly discouraged. It is important to safeguard your identity so be careful and keep your password as a secret. And in the event you accidentally share your password with someone else, ensure you review it as soon as possible.

  • Always craft a long password:

It is always suggested that in order to make your password unique and hard to crack, always go for more characters. For instance, if you choose eight to ten characters, then it would be long enough to make it strong and complex.

  • The use of both lowercase and capital letters:

When you mingle lower and capital letters, you are actually making your password even harder and composite. It is recommended that you add at least one capital letter and one from the lowercase letter. For instance, “KiMlHr”. This strategy will make your password pretty much unpredictable.

  • Insert space and underscore in your password:

You can create a strong password by inserting a single space in the middle of the password. But should you find that you are not authorized to use it, then the second option can be the use of underscore “_”.

  • Use dissimilar but analogous passwords:

Too many passwords for different accounts are difficult to remember and a continuous headache of keeping them in writing. An easy way out is to construct passwords that are unique but similar. For instance, “KiMlHr” can used for another account by making a slight change, ”Life is KiMlHr”.

  • Keep your crafted password in a written form:

Keep your password in a written form that keeps it away from snooping eyes. The written document should not be approachable by anyone but easily accessible for you in case it skips from your mind. You can also use coding to make it more secure.

  • A striking arrangement of words:
Suppose you have four pets in your house, take the first two characters of each pet name and combined them to craft a memorable and hard to crack the code.

You should be very careful in constructing your password as it protects you from any mishap or misfortune. Follow above mention strategies that enable you to make your password strong and secure. Never go for easy numbers and words that allow anyone to crack by making few brainy efforts.
